The Burke & Co. Weekly Market Report for Avalon, Sea Isle, and Stone Harbor– Week ending December 26, 2020
Competitively one of the busiest, arguably one of the strongest, and definitively the strangest year in modern real estate history ends the way almost every real estate year ends: pretty quietly. Interestingly, we saw not a single new listing in this final week in Avalon, Sea Isle, or Stone Harbor. As is usually the case, there is a scramble of a few final transactions settling as buyers and sellers often might have a reason to settle in one calendar year versus the next. The biggest surprise was probably the number of contracts in the week. We saw 11 across the three towns. That’s a very low number obviously compared to the other weeks in this year, but a pretty impressive number historically for the last full week of the year.
