The Burke & Co. Weekly Market Report for Avalon, Sea Isle, and Stone Harbor– Week ending October 31, 2020

Inventory continues to slightly outpace homes going under contract, with new entries onto the market in Sea Isle and Stone Harbor offsetting a slight decline in Avalon so that overall there are more homes on the market now this week than the week before for the 4th week in a row.

Also, we’ve seen some price reductions on properties. Sellers and sellers’ agents know that it gets cold and lonely for the next few months, so homes that missed the incredible late summer and fall frenzy we saw in 2020 will probably be more willing to negotiate right now than at any other time.

The other big story is a huge number of homes settling each week. 45-60 days ago was as intense a real estate market as many have seen and the final prices are just showing up at the settlement table now, so take a look at the links to see what homes like the one you own or the type that interests you are selling for right now.
