Inventory is Rising
Last week we looked at how rental income on the island will help support home prices. This week we focus on a factor that pushes the balance in the other direction. Inventory is rising. And it’s early for that. Generally– especially in Sea Isle– we do not see many homes hit the market during summer. People wait for the fall in most cases. This year, sellers seem to be trying to get out in front of that fall listing frenzy. And slowly and steadily, the number of active homes on the market grows.
