The National Association of Realtors (NAR) reached a settlement with an original lawsuit and a series of additional lawsuits (and may have staved off a Department of Justice anti-trust probe). In addition to a near half billion-dollar settlement, it makes a requirement a practice that is common and even mandatory in many parts of the country, but has not been a common practice here in the southern NJ shore real estate market: Buyer Agency Agreements.
