Inventory is back, baby!!!
It’s been a long time suspicion that the fall would see a lot of more homes on the market than we’ve seen in a while. Mid-summer indications point in the direction of that suspicion. Homes listed led homes put under contract across Sea Isle, Avalon, and Stone Harbor by 2:1 last week.
Sea Isle– which had sunk to less than 20 active listings briefly a few weeks back– has seen its offerings swell to almost 50. It’s still a long stretch to the 100+ that usually indicates a balanced market, but a very real trend is emerging.
So the calculations for decisions should be shifting. Should buyers jump now since waiting has been punished for years or should they wait just a little to see if even more options appear? And should sellers try to beat the fall rush?
